SuG - Koakuma Sparkling single review
August 29th 2010 14:07
SuG's latest single, Koakuma Sparkling. This review will be based on limited edition version.
Tracklist:
1. Koakuma Sparkling
2. Five Starz ~ Gomaime Haiyuu
DVD:
1. Koakuma Sparkling pv
Comment:
I know that SuG did say that their songs are heavy positive rock which is so visible in Koakuma Sparkling. I have to admit here that this song is absolutely upbeat. Somehow, it makes me feel so revitalized and positive after listening to this song. Added with the colorful pv, it really change your mood overall. I don't know why, with the sound of saxophone blended together with the music, the song seems like a song that is perfect for a party.
What I really want to focus here is the second song, Five Starz ~ Gomaime Haiyuu. This song is a wacky song to me but what makes this song super priceless to me is that everybody sings in this song! Okay, they don't really sing (apart from Takeru) but they just rap. I don't want to imagine how the song would be if the rest of them are singing normally like Takeru. I'm sure you wouldn't want to imagine either. So yeah, this is the only song that you can hear the others sing (or rap).
I have to admit myself that SuG is getting better and it can be seen clearly in this new single. Back then, I never fancy some of the songs and I even gave a bad review about their songs (even though I'm their huge fan). But, my point of view about them has totally changed since their previous single, gr8 story. Regardless of whether you are their fans or simply want to get to know them even more, this is a single that you shouldn't miss.
I know I've been expecting a lot from them lately but I think their next single , R.P.G ~ Rockin' Playing Game will be as good as Koakuma Sparkling. Don't forget to check this blog for R.P.G ~ Rockin' Playing Game review once it's finally released.
