Plastic Tree - Toroimerai album review
March 8th 2009 14:23
I'm suppose to write this review last week regarding Bucchi leaving the band but due to unavoidable circumstances, the review is posted today. I'm really sorry for that m(_ _)m. Anyway, this is the album where Bucchi made his first appearance as the official drummer for Plastic Tree after Takashi left the band. So, here it is~
Tracklist:
1. Rikashitsu
2. Glider
3 Aoi tori
4. Chiriyuku Bokura
5. Petshop
6. Zange Wa Yokushiteude
7. Akai Kutsu
8. Gerbera
9. Chibashi, Wakabaku, 6:30
10. Platform
11. HELLO
12. Ame Ni Utaeba
Comment:
If you have listened to their old album like Hide and Seek, Puppet Show and Parade for example, you find that this album sounds a lot different than their previous album. As for me, I find the change was rather drastic because they're trying to fit with Bucchi's drumming style. Okay, put his drumming skill aside, even though they've changed musically, I find that this album has become a lot more hardcore than before. Rikashitsu may not give you that kind of feeling but other songs like Glider, Aoi Tori, Chiriyuku Bokura, Chibashi, Wakabaku, 6:30 and Platform for example are definitely makes you feel that the music itself are truly hardcore.
From what I'm saying, I'm pretty sure you may have noticed that this was the album where most of their songs have turned out to have heavier sound. The only songs that made you feel a bit like their old song are Petshop, Zange Wa Yokushiteude and HELLO, to name a few.
This album may not appeal for those who loves their old album, but to me, this album is one of the album that I really love the most besides Utsusemi despite of having different sound. Get this album because this album is really worth it XD.
