August 22nd 2010 12:09
Firstly, I would like to apologize for lack of updates for this blog. As usual, I've been busy with my study and my business is also seeking attention, thus leaving this blog abandoned. But, I won't abandon this blog forever so if you have been following this blog, I would like to say thank you very much for your support.
Anyway, this is basically Plastic Tree's latest single, Moonlight. This review is based on limited edition version.
Tracklist:
1. Moonlight
2. Bambi
DVD:
1. Moonlight pv
2. Moonlight - making of -
Comment:
Honestly, I don't really have much expectation for this single simply because I always thought that Plastic Tree's next single would be the slow type. This might have a lot to do with Kenken becomes their new drummer. Don't get the wrong idea. I love Kenken but somehow Bucchi is perfect for the heavy song so I always thought that the reason why their song becomes slow lately is because Kenken's drum fits the slow song more.
I would consider Moonlight to be a slow song but it's not as slow as I thought, and yet it's not a hardcore song either. Somehow this song falls in the middle and you can roughly assume that it's a balanced song. I don't really hooked with this song when I listened to it for the first time but I was kinda get used to it after a few listens. It's a nice song but it doesn't get me hooked so easily.
However, I'm pretty much delighted with Bambi because this song is better than Moonlight, in my opinion. This song isn't as slow as Moonlight and it's more catchy than Moonlight. If people would want to listen to this single, I highly recommend Bambi because it's absolutely a great song to listen to. I'm glad that Bambi is able to cover up my lack of interest in Moonlight.
From the way I say it, it sounds like I was utterly disappointed with this single but it's actually not. It is true that I don't really like Moonlight that much but it's still not a horrible single. Well, Bambi is one of the reason that I think this single isn't sucks at all but to be honest, Moonlight isn't that bad either. It's just that I'm not so in-tune with Moonlight.
So, will I recommend this single if they want to know more about Plastic Tree? Well, yes I will....but it might be after I recommend a few songs that I like.
