LM.C - Trailers[Gold] single review
January 10th 2010 05:29
If you have read the post on Visual-Kei news, I have decided to write a review about LM.C albums and singles. As usual, you can expect there'll be lots of posts related with LM.C from now on.
Again, I'm starting off with LM.C's first single, Trailers[Gold]. This review is based on regular edition version.

Even though this single was released almost 4 years ago, I still had the same feeling about this single like 4 years ago when I'm writing this review. If you're new to LM.C, this is one of their first single released during their early days (their other single Trailers[Silver] was also released on the same day)
Now, let's move on with the first track, Rock The LM.C. Yes, I'm being plain honest here that the song really freaked me out when I listened to it for the first time. Of course, if you have known Aiji when he was still in Pierrot, this kind of song is not the kind of song that you will expect from him. In other words, I was practically paranoid with this song. But when I listened to this song over and over again, it turns out to be the funniest song I've ever heard. The song can be exactly like Orange Range songs, but I think this song is way better than Orange Range songs.
Ultra Bit is just.....an interlude between the two songs. Yes, it's a weird sound but if you're familiar with LM.C style, you know that they always include pretty weird sound in their music. Anyway, this track is the beginning of the weird sound in their music. I don't hate this interlude no matter how weird it sounds. It's just that I don't fancy the interlude.
Funny Phantom is the song that I love the most in this single. This song isn't as weird as Rock The LM.C but I would say that this song has more cyberpunk vibe kind of music. Yes, since it has this some sort of like a cyberpunk vibe, it has the edgy and catchy tune making this song perfect for lifting your mood.
Overall, this single wasn't so bad after all after a few listen. It may not a problem for you to accept this single if you have never known Aiji during Pierrot period but it takes a long time for me to accept this single since I was still grieving over Pierrot's disbandment at that time and the musical difference was so big at that time. Going back to the single, this single may not leave much impression if you're so used with their current songs but it's still worth a listen.
