Kanon x Kanon - Calendula Requiem single review

A collaboration unit between Kanon (An Cafe) and Kanon Wakeshima. This sing is the OP for the anime, Shiki.

Comment:
If you have been listening to all Kanon Wakeshima's song, you will notice that this song is totally different than any other Kanon Wakeshima's songs you've heard (well, at least to me). Calendula Requiem is totally upbeat and still fits the anime even though Shiki is a horror anime. Though I'm not Kanon Wakeshima fan, but I do notice that her songs aren't always like this until I discover who compose this song. It turns out to be it's Kanon (An Cafe) who compose this song. So, that explains why the song is so upbeat, An-Cafe-feel kinda song.
The B-Side of the singles, The Doll House! and Umigame Soup is so Kanon Wakeshima songs so I doubt Kanon (An Cafe) would compose such song. Since I don't fancy these kind of songs, so I don't like these songs. It's just plain boring (I'm being plain straight here).
I don't have anything much to say about the instrumental track so I'm not going to comment anything on it.
The only song that I like in this single is only Calendula Requiem because the song is a totally different song (for Kanon Wakeshima at least) and yes, it was Kanon who compose this song. This single is worth a buy if you like Kanon Wakeshima and you don't care much about the other Kanon. However, if you're only interested in Kanon (An Cafe), I suggest that you buy the single with Shiki cover.
