Gazette - Pledge single review
January 16th 2011 07:43
Gazette's new single. This review is based on auditory impression version.
Tracklist:
1. Pledge
2. The True Murderous Intent
3. Voiceless Fear
Comment:
I don't like ballad but Pledge is truly marvelous! Even though I'm not in the lovey dovey mode but this song really makes me feel how strong the pledge feeling is. The part I love the most is the guitar solo (mind you, it has nothing to do with Uruha) because the guitar solo is longer than usual, and of course the guitar solo heightens the mood of the song. This song is definitely a-must listen if you haven't.
The True Murderous Intent on the other hand is totally different compared to Pledge, in a sense that the song is a heavy song. I love the fact that this song has changes the mood after Pledge but it's not the kind of song that I want to listen on a repeat mode.
Voiceless Fear seems to have a lighter sound compared to The True Murderous Intent, that is only on the intro. After that, the song has become fast-paced just like The True Murderous Intent. Do I like this song? Well, not really.
To be honest, I'm so happy that Pledge is a great song and I'm also expecting that the B-side tracks give me the same expectation. I always love Gazette's B-side tracks more than the main track but for this single, I don't really favor the B-side tracks much. It's not that the B-side tracks are awful, but it doesn't leave a long-lasting impression to me. This is still one of the Gazette's single that I recommend but just don't expect too much for the B-side tracks.
