If you're new to Alice Nine, I bet you have no idea why a single has a movie right? It's unusual to have a movie for a single and least of all a movie with the same song title. Alice Nine fans already know about this (since I'm talking about one of their old single) but for new Alice Nine fans, this movie is related with the single and guess what, they're also acting in this movie - another unusual thing for a visual-kei band. The script was written by Tora and not to worry as all of them were acting in that movie. Since this is a music-wise review, so I shall start with the song first.
Yes, it's bad that you can't listen to this song other than to pop it on your DVD player but don't worry so much about that. I love this song when I watched the pv for the first time. This is indeed a catchy song but the guitar solo part is the only thing that spoils the whole song. I'm not saying that Hiroto's guitar solo is really bad, it's just that the fuzzy guitar sound doesn't suit the song. But still, I really love this song and this is the song that I've been looking forward to hear the audio version when Alpha was released.
And now, the most important part which is the movie. I don't mean to be nasty or anything but honestly speaking, they really are not meant be professional actors. They're best off as musicians. I admit I'm not a professional actress but their acting is way horrible! Hiroto, Tora and Nao's acting is forgivable but Shou and Saga's acting is well......bad. Saga lacks expression which makes his acting lifeless. Overall, I can say they shouldn't be bothered with acting considering that their acting is way horrible. Enough said.
This is a must have DVD not just for Alice Nine fans, but also for new fans because the pv itself is amazing. The movie.....is a bonus for you if you're digging for something to crack yourself.
