Comment:

I haven't written Meine Liebe Wieder review yet, but my main and only reason of watching this anime is because of Alice Nine. I believe that the reason we watched the particular anime because of our favorite band is far stronger no matter how crappy is the anime. But then again, the feeling of listening to the OP and the ED, it makes me feel so alive XD. Okay, I should stop fangirling and let's move on with the review.

Akatsuki itself is a very fast pace song and catchy at the same time, which makes it perfect for the OP of the anime. This is absolutely a wonderful song but I can say that the song itself is very repetitive until the end. The costume for the pv also imitates the anime where the setting of this anime is during medieval time...most fit the theme except Shou and Saga's costume. See the pv yourself and you'll get what I mean.

Ikuoku no Chandelier is surprisingly a ballad song as the song is totally laidback compared with Akatsuki, as Akatsuki has the aggressive sound, Ikuoku no Chandelier has the calming sound. Even though it's a calming and slow song, it doesn't really indicate a bad thing as this song is perfect for the ED of the anime. Again, the pattern is similar with Akatsuki where it does feel repetitive but then again, it's still nicely done.

When I listened to both songs for the first time, I'm much more in love with Ikuoku no Chandelier than Akatsuki but I find Akatsuki is cooler and better than Ikuoku no Chandelier when I started watching Meine Liebe Wieder (mind you, I did watch Meine Liebe before watching Meine Liebe Wieder).

If you're practically new to Alice Nine, this may shock you a little because they absolutely looks different back in the old days especially Shou and Saga. As for the song-wise, obviously the songs like these are totally different than their current songs because they have mature musically. Other than songs in Zekkeishoku, this single is also a must listen if you want to get the idea of their old songs. This single is not included in any of their album, so if you're way that curious, my suggestion would be get this single is worth it - whether you're Alice Nine fans or Meine Liebe fans.
